Mackinzie is a freelance illustrator that knew from a very young age that she wanted to illustrate children’s books. After taking a slight detour through the world of banking she is now happily drawing and creating everyday.

Mackinzie loves to infuse whimsy and character into her illustrations through texture and vibrant color. When she’s not drawing you can find her reading, traveling, or reading about traveling. She lives in the Iowa City, Iowa area with her husband, three wild kiddos, and one very large floofy dog.
